Sardinian cooking class with Federica Mannoni (in English) - Sold out!

We are very excited to announce that after 2 years Federica Mannoni (https://sardinaincucina.com/) will be back to teach us more about her beautiful island’s, Sardinia’s cuisine. She will bring her precious family recipes to share with you.

Federica has started to cook on a boat (her family had one of the cruises on the Archipelago of La Maddalena). After her studies she was working in tourism, until her family has decided to open an agriturismo about 14 years ago where they are sharing their passion for Sardinian home cooking with everyone.

Sardinian food has a very unique character thanks to the Latin, Spanish and North African influences during the island’s history. It is said that the women of Sardinia are cooking the same food from centuries, which allows us to taste history once we’re enjoying their staple dishes.

Federica’s menu:

Spizzulus with sardinian sauce (Spizzulus is a special homemade pasta made with durum wheat flour. It comes from Orroli, a small village in the heart of the island and is made only there. It's served with tomato sauce with fresh sausage, wild fennel and saffron.)

Pane Frattau / Vrattau (a typical dish of the mountain region of Sardinia, named Barbagia. It was a traditional shepherd meal made with broth, Carasau bread, cheese, tomato sauce and egg.

Dessert is on the house: S'Aranzada (Federica will bring it from home. This sweet treat contains three of the most commonly used ingredients of Sardinian pastry: orange zest, honey and almond.)

And the extra: All of our guests will get 1 pack of Molino Galleu flour right from Sardinia to be sure you have the right ingredients to practise after the workshop at home. Molino Galleu has been producing semolina since 1922 and it’s one of the 3 mills working on the island. They are using 100% Sardinian wheat for their products.

This class will be in English, but I will be there to help anyone who needs help with translation.

Class fee: 18 000 HUF (Non alcoholic drinks and teas included.)
